Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Srinagar arrival

Arrival at Srinagar airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer you to Deluxe Houseboat, After fresh up visit to world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) Pari Mahal, Chasmeshahi Garden, and after sightseeing back to Houseboats and 1 hrs Shikra Ride after freshup back to Houseboats and Overnight stay.
Evening enjoy shikara ride around in Dal Lake 1 hrs, after shikara ride back to Houseboat and Overnight stay.

Day 02 : Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (8700 Feet, 52 kms, 1.5 hrs One way)

After Breakfast, drive to Gulmarg called as “Meadow of Flowers” . Gulmarg is 52 Kms from Srinagar at an altitude of 8700-ft.
Gulmarg also referred as Meadow of Flowers is a famous Ski Resort & the world’s highest 18 hole Golf Course. The place was prominent during the British time.
You can enjoy a Pony ride (Optional At your own cost).
Experience Gondola ride (up to first level only). Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes.
After sightseeing back to Srinagar, Check in Hotel and Overnight stay in Houseboats.

Day 03 : Srinagar- Zojila- Drass- Kargil ( Approx 5 - 6 hrs)

After Pickup from Srinagar Airport and drive to Kargil via Sonamarg - (Lunch on the Way) driving through Sonamarg and crossing the Zoji-la pass (11,500-ft. / 3,505 mtrs) en-route. On the way, there are halts at Sonamarg a pristine valley with lush views and snow-clad peak; Zo jila Pass (a high altitude pass); Drass Village- the world's 2nd coldest inhabitant place. Here you visit War memorial hall and Museum- also known as Vijaypath. The memorial was constructed by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers and officers of the Indian Army who laid their lives in Kargil War. Overnight in the hotel at Kargil.

Day 04 : Kargil - Lamayuru- via Alchi Monastery (Indus Zanskar River Conference ) - Magnetic Hill - Leh ( Approx 6 hrs)

After Breakfast check out hotel and drive to Leh, enroute viewing / visiting the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining "Moonland" hills forming its backdrop. after visiting the 11th century Alchi oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh - a UNESCO listed heritage site. Driving further on along the Indus, visit Sanagm (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), (River RAFTING POINT - you can rafting here 2 or 3 hrs) after drive to Magnetic Point, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara & Hall of Fame (museum of military heritage).
Magnetic hill to marvel at the amazing natural wonder. Also pay respects to Pathar Sahib Gurudwara- constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev ji- the founder of Sikh religion and the first guru . Continue your road journey. On arrival in Leh, visit the Hall of Fame Museum a war memorial by the Indian Army that was founded in the memory of Indian soldiers who laid lives in Indo-Pak wars. Complete the check-in formalities at your hotel. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 05 : Leh Full Day - Monastery Sightseeing

After morning break fast visiting the most important monasteries of Ladakh - Shey Palace, Thiksey Gompa and Hemis monastery .
First we visit the ruined Shey Palace, once the summer palace of the pre-Tibetan kings. The palace monastery houses a large, bronze, blue haired Buddha statue and next stop at superbly situated, 16th century, Thiksey Gompa, which is perched on a hill top and continue to visit Hemis Monastery (5 km from Kharu) is also on the cards. Hemis is the largest and richest monastery complex in Ladakh. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06 : Leh - Khardungla - Nubra - Diskit Monastery - Hunder (Apporx 5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, also known as Valley of flowers via Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the World, (18,380 ft).
Visit to Diskit Monastery after drive to Hunder. On your arrival in Hunder check in the camp.
After enjoying lunch proceed to enjoy walk on the banks of Shayok river, you can also enjoy a ride on double humped camel on the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village. Overnight stay in Hunder.

Diskit Monastery

Diskit Monastery also known as Diskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern India.
Diskit monastery is situated in the Nubra valley of Ladakh. Also known as Diskit Gompa, the Buddhist center is one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Leh Ladakh. The Diskit monastery was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo in the 14th century, and at present stands atop a hill above the plains of Shayok river. The prime attraction of the Diskit monastery is 100 foot high Maitreya Buddha statue, which was inaugurated by the holy Dalai Lama. From the top of the Gompa, where the divine statue is settled, one can have a panoramic view of the Nubra valley.

Day 07 : Hunder - Turtuk - Hunder (Approx 2 - 3 hrs)
After early Breakfast, move towards Highest Motorable Road of The World, KhardungLa Pass. Have a cup of Tea there, get yourself clicked with the Khardungla Signboard by BRO & proceed towards Turtuk- the Land of Baltis, which was under control of Pakistan before 1971 War between the two nations. You may like to visit 16 century Mosque and Minaret, Royal house of Yabgo dynasty, Ruin palace of Pun Khar, Historic polo ground. Overnight stay at Homestay /Camp.

Day 08 : Hunder - Pangong (Apporx 5 hrs)

After breakfast at hotel we drive to next destination pangong lake via Shyok and onto Tangtse and Pangong Lake.
Pangong Lake is Approximately 50% of the length of the overall lake lies within Tibet in China, 40% in Ladakh, India and the remaining 10% is disputed and is a de-facto buffer zone between India and China. The lake is 5 km (3.1 mi) wide at its broadest point. All together it covers almost 700 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water.

Pangong Lake Highlights

The Pangong Lake is also famous for being a colour-changing lake as it changes its colours from blue to green and red. Being filled with saline water, the Pangong Lake is one of the highest altitude lakes in the world, with an elevation of 4350 metres. With a total length of 134 KM, most of the part of the lake lies in China and some of it lies in Tibet.
Since the lake has saline water, the availability of micro-vegetation is really low which has resulted in less to no marine life. The camps and tents set up around the lake offer a wide variety of facilities and amenities, hence you can easily find stay options besides the lake.
The lake got famous with the movie “3 Idiots”, where Kareena Kapoor as “Pia” was seen riding a yellow scooter. The same scooter is still present on the lakeside and one can click pictures with it. Overnight stay in Camp / Cottages

Day 09 : Pangong Lake - Hemis / Thiksey - Leh (Approx 6 hrs)
After breakfast check out Camp and drive to Leh via Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Thiksay Monastery, Shey Monastery, 3Idiot School and Shindhu River Ghat, after sightseeing check in Hotel and overnight in hotel.


Day 10 : Leh Airport Drop
After Breakfast check Hotel and Drop to the Leh Airport.
